Backward posting hoo! Side note, I am a retail GODDESS! I mean really. I can sell. And I mean, I can sell. Sounds silly, but for a socially awkward wallflower like myself, finding out that I make a decent salesman is both shocking and facinating. Imma try to outsell my manager WOO(trust me on this, he is AMAZING at sales!).

Anyway, I've been BUSY. Below is the idea I've been working on. Christened as Ghosts Be Goners. It's the name of the business that Dime and 7 have set up to take care of Still's spectral problems. Dime came up with the name. That's why the name doesn't really gel with what they do, cuz actually very little of the spectranomalies are factual ghosts. And 7 doesn't like it because its a silly name.

But anyhoo, pages 1, 2, and 3!

Heart of Ice

Grogg, why do I keep waking up at odd hours of the night? Bleh, stress.

Good news is the insomnia allowed me to complete another commission. This is for Miss Chobits, who also is running a contest I need to finish an entry for. This is her avatar sporting the lovely midnight dress and the new ice skin. It all reminded me of one of my faaavorite fables, the Snow Queen, hence the beautiful but distant and untouchable look. Very bittersweet tale, but easy to fall in love with. All about how no matter how cold, warmth will always thaw the ice(meant to be taken on as many metophoric levels as possible). Side note, its fun drawing crinoline dresses!

Also very similar to how Spring was saved from Winter's grasp by the people of the north. Who Winter had turned into a bunch of animals! The heroes were a bear and a bunny. Fun story!

This is a random scene from the world of Still, the place where Dime, Boog and 7 will ultimately reside, run around and have stories in. I wanted to make stark contrast between the world the characters inhabited and the characters themselves. I believe I can confidently say 'mission accomplished'.

Also, incase you were wondering, moving is a beast. Especially when one has a barrel full of monkeys to discard.

Different kind of blue

Dime and Boog. From an idea rattling around in my head. Ghost story type thing.

Dime can see things she's not supposed to see. The faekin that inhabit our world specifically, there but not there, presence felt but form hidden behind the Veil. Because of she can actually SEE them, Dime is compelled to help people with their supernatural strife. And the world of Still is chock full of it. Have I mentioned this before? Boog is a boggle. Just a baby still. I don't think I've mentioned that yet.

Anyway, experimental stuff again. I think I just might do a comic like this. Totally serious now.

And back to commissions! This is for Skye, my good friend from Bunny Kingdom and a THOUSAND apologies! She commissioned this last month. x.0 Bad, bad bunny am I! But I had to stop and find a job first.

Anyway, this is Dax and Khaz(the poochie), her orphaned cool dude OC. He's also a shadow adept, but I went with posing with his wolf instead of using his powers. Mostly because I luff the wulfie. I like his hair. What can I say? I know Photoshop is cool and all, but I prefer the solid colors. Flash is my Illustrator substitute. I'm confident I can get it to work just as well. That's my current challenge to myself anyway.

Back baby!

Alrighty, I've got a job again! Bad news, its seasonal. Good news is I can BREATHE again and am looking for another job when this one ends. So huzzah Nymmie's planning for once!

Here's the dealie: Unemployment stiff really got me thinking. WEPBK is a beautiful story. But ultimately, not mine. So, with permission, I've decided instead to revisit an idea that's been bounding around my head for quite a while. I think I can finally do it justice.

Height contrast of the 3 main characters. 7(yes 7 not Seven) is freakishly tall. Dime is supposed to come up to about his elbow(after about three tries I got it right wewt). And if you're saying "Huh? Three?", I'm referring to the dustball with wings. Yeh. That's a character. His name is Boog.

Few roughs of Dime. Dime is essentially the main-main character. She's a bit of an odd duck. And she can actively see ghosts and faekin the same way we can see living people.

7. He's fun. 7 is Dime's partner. Since she can see ghosts she is compelled to help the living with their supernatural problems. However, all Dime can do is see and talk to them. 7 can send them back to where they came from, and sever their link to this world('banish' but that's such an over used word).
