Oi

So this just in, the place I used to live at reported my butt to a debt collector. Fun. No call, no warning, just falalala its almost new years---hey that's a funny looking envelope.

They called themselves something something's hounds and the stationary has the sillouette of a hunter with rabid chasing hounds. Oh classy.

Not mad at the sharks. After all, sharking is their business. Ticked off at former place of living.

To all of you in the Va Beach area, ANYTHING with a 'Dove Landing' in front of it? Avoid it. Move to the Chesapeake border before you go there. DL is a hellhole in the most dictionary definition of the word. Trust and believe. Not worth your $700 something rent. Unresponsive maintenance and the Pizza Hut ACROSS THE STREET refuses to enter the neighborhood the minute the sun goes to sleep. What does that tell you? Consider this a friendly warning.

/end rant I'd ment to doodle something for the New Year, but I had to piece together everything for the sharks first. Made me a little whiney.

What's my rez? Pretty simple:

Scrape off the old year, start fresh.

Oh and get a stable job that I loved to work at and will free up my time to draw and comic. Plus eat better so my dern ulcer stops acting up.

Nymine's a simple girl really.

Rice balls!

Very quick sketch.

Been busy busy busy! Mostly because the holiday season is almost over. And that means I'll be needing another job. Probably. My boss is making noises like he's very pleased with my work. Not to sound arrogant, but this is typical. I'm one hell of a good worker. And also, this usually has nothing to do with maintaining employment. Unfortunately. SO, I've been beating the avenues again.

On top of that, I've been trying to cook. Note: Nymine can't cook. BUT! I've been trying to redirect my somewhat icky lifestyle(when I get nervous or stressed I eat; because of that I have gained a *lot* of weight the past few months) into something more positive. Bought a rice cooker and have been checking out some very informative videos about how to make riceballs!

First couple of tries have been little more than flavored rice blobs. Eheh.

But its been fun! And its a nice way to get my mind off of eating and on to something more creative. Yarr! I will be successful!

More on comic adventures

Also, I'm on Smack Jeeves.

Huzzah! Here's hoping for success!

Sharing time!

Originally I tired to share this in a different way. I decided I didn't like that way so tadah:

What is this, you ask? Ah well this is One Normal Day, a comic idea I've had since 2002. Yeup. And done in said squiggle style. Decided to take another stab at it. This is the first 5 pages. Thought I'd go ahead and show it off here. So, its shown off.

Dont be shy now! Tell me what you think!

And I'm off to put this in a style presentable to the rest of the intranetz. Oowere. HTML coding joy.

DO WANT

HOLY COW AWESOME!

Tatsunoko Corp is my collective hero. I'm TOTALLY using Casshern and a random member of G Force(how can you ask me to pick just one?!).

Squee! Fangirl is pleased!!

And her name is Spike

Commission for Miss Cy! This is one of her newer characters, Spike. The half-dragon, half-human werewolf. I know right? If I had thought of that, I'd've totally done that too. The most fun about this one is that Cy hasn't plotted out all the colors yet, besides the fact that Spike has caramal-colored fur. I've been playing around with monocoloring, so I decided on which color best suited her personality. I decided it was an orange, since she is very strong. And a little unhinged(wants to take over the world but itsn't necissarily BAD).

So here's the monochrome. The factual colors to follow later. I absolutely adore those ears. Oh, and she has her tail wrapped around her neck like a scarf.

Zieva

Another commission for Miss Mush! This is her star pixie character Zieva, a very creative character that she was using in an RP I was participating in. She's very spunky and very interesting. Ziev's kind of got shiny skin, which I strived to recreate with the blue highlights. It makes her skin look different. I likes. The hair was a lot of fun to draw as well. And a squish in the corner for fun!

Afoot! Afoot! Things are afoot!

Holy crap!

www.fusionfall.com

How did I miss this until now???? I'm so totally there. I dun care if I wind up being the only person who's 20 some odd years old. Looks awesome(seriously this is my kryptonite; I'm an MMO addict and a cartoon junky[shameless!]). And the reenvisioning of all the familiar characters makes me giddy. Especially the teen/Sailor Moony Power Puffs and anime Mandark/Dexter.

Also, I've been sneezing for the past 12 minutes. Whoever is talking atleast take a breath!

End of th road

Yup. Pile done. Hope you've enjoyed the show of what I've done in the past 6 years.

Apathy! Another comic idea I couldn't get off the ground. Basically, Death moves into a suburban area. And his ten year old daughter is taking over his business. Not really surprising that I junked this one huh? Decided it was in poor taste.

Jedis. Yeh. I'm a shameless fan. Also Knights of the Old Republic rocks so hard. Cant remember what that smear came from, but I think it was my cough drop cuz I had the sniffles when I did this 'un.
Suicide Queen! She was my very very very very VERY first hero in City of Heros. She was a Psychic/Knetic Controller. I liked her. Tho I decided the outfit was a bit cliche. Maybe I shoulda stuck with it tho? I dunno. I thinks she's mint.

Mind, she was also created like on launch day. That means very LITTLE to work with other than many different versions of tights, some recognizable skin outfits(I laughed pretty hard when I saw the Witchblade metal stuff and Leeloo's bandage suit from the 5th Element[soooo many guys made big boobed females clad only in either of those, I'm tellin ya]), no capes, no auras, no synthing, no nothin'. So, all in all, I did pretty good. Also, when I logged on with her, I saw three things that will stick with me to this day:

Mr. and Ms. SuperClaus(too bad at that time they didn't have the factual santa suits, but dern for scratch they made it look pretty dern close), Rambo MacDonald(Ronald MacDonald with a bandolier and a gun) and Dr. Proctologist whose right hand was absolutely MASSIVE. I love that game.

And that's that! Back to our regularly schedualed drawings. That is all.

More memories

And further we go down memory lane.
Ahh, this is a crayon drawing of my protagonist Shao Ma from One Normal Day. I used to draw EVERyTHING in that pudgy style. And then critism made me want to grow up and grow up my style as well. I do love the things I've accomplished, but I'm starting to see the folly of listening to that nasty critic. I miss this. So I'm going to reclaim it!
Fanart! This was drawn when Kula Diamond first appeared in KoF. And my golly. Favorite character ever! I loves her so much. The mansicle in the corner is K' getting an icey kiss from her. Tee hee!

Ah! This is my original idea for Dime and 7's comic. Except didn't exist at the time. Dime's cohort was a much surlier character by the name of Five. They didn't get along very well. But there were still ghosts.

Can't remember what this was to, but that sword rocks.
More Gundam fanart. That's the Tallgeese II. I think I drew that during the show. I don't remember. But wowie, I'm proud of that thing.

One of the first Chinese dragons I drew. And yes, he's holding a dragonball. *shameless*

More Gundam art.
This was when I decided to try and find another style. So I sketched a whole bunch of styles I'd seen. There's even a Cardboard Tube Samurai in there.

Random sketch.

Another random sketch. And my android Ditto.

One Normal Day legacy sketch

Still digging through old drawings. Here's something near and dear to my heart!

This is a concept sketch for the only comic I ever finished(altho those who read it hated the ending; the characters were all arrested by the police Monty Python and the Holy Grail style). It was around 137 pages long, and a lot of fun. Drawn in that style. Yep. This is a revision of a few of the characters.

Hee, looking at this brings back good memories. Who knows? Maybe I'll give it another go.

More gravedust

And more from the Stack of Papers that Defy Time and Space(tm). Not really, but they are very very old.

Songbird Meadows. This is actually my character from White Wolf rpg 'Orpheus'. I only had the first book, but man that was fun. I haphazardly ran that campaign.

Birdie here was a hippie pacifist reporter who could zone out of her body and project herself as a banshee, but she'd never use her wail. Yup. Was a lot of fun; the other members of Birdie's squad were Lady Mioji(a dead will-0-the-wisp Japanese actress), a teen ninja poltergeist, and.....Ozama Ben Hauntin', an 8 foot tall crime lord wraith and also the leader of W.O.O.T, the World Organization of Terror(my friend Mike has a weird sense of humor and I couldn't talk him out of it). Fun while it lasted.

Another White Wolf character! This one was from when I had almost every book and we were going to run a MASSIVE campaign, spanning Hunter, Mage, Demon, Wraith, Changeling, Vampire and Werewolf. UNfortunately, everyone made their damn characters and then left, never coming back. Grump, grump.

Anyhoo, this is Cecilia. She was a Philidox inbred mutant, but her clan was the hippy tribe that worshiped the unicorn(can't remember the name *sadface*), so she was tolerated. Ceci was in charge of an orphanage. Yup.

Holy crap, its an early design of Dime! Note the similarities and differences. Surprised me too.

Long defunct character. I hardly remember what this one was about. But it just goes to show you that I've been puttering around with comic ideas and stories for just about ever.

Man, dog and robot. And a beautiful day.

This is from high school again, senior year. I was trying to do backgrounds. And experimenting with my shinie new color pencils I had bought myself.

I don't remember, but it's cute right?

Haw, and this is a little chibi illustration from one of my friend Gene's story. Both characters in it. One of his characters had the ability to meld and possess shadows. And the chick there was the only one who was wise to his tricks so she had a tendancy of smacking him in the head with a mallot. So charming I drew an instance of just that happening.
I'm only halfway through my stack muwah! More to come!

Grave dust and digging up memories

Wowie wow wow! Note to ANYONE who cares:

When moving, either get yourself a LOT of friends or hire movers. I mean like, ouch. I'm totally sore. Also I almost had a dresser dropped on me. Squee! Fun!

Anyway, almost all my furniture went bye bye, finally got myself a desk, and got my internet up and running. You know what's completely awesome about throwing out garbage? You find some awesome stuff you've ferreted away. Me specifically, I found a LOT of drawings I kept from waaay back. Back when I first moved out of my parent's home and out on my own in 2002. I've got a stack to scan, but here's a taste of what I've done and where I've come from!

A dragon character of mine. She's in her human form. I actually still remember drawing this with Ed Edd N' Eddy playing in the background. It was the episode with the cardboard city. This was an attempt at perspective.

Fanart! Haw, it's Ryoko from Techi Muyo!. I loved that anime. This was also done while watching the show. Can't remember which one exactly.

More fanart. Jin Kazama from Tekken 4. Love that sweatsuit.

One of the Gundams(not sure which) and Ryo-ohki. Seriously, the cabbit(cat-rabbit) is probably one of the coolest hybrid animals ever conceived.

Back to originals. These next few are all from high school, my senior year. Mostly drawn during the boring lectures of teachers who lost my interest because of their lack of knowledge. Which was pretty much EVERY class minus my Adv. English Literature class. Mr. Lambriola was my favoritest teacher ever(and he got me to talk too!). I love tech and monsterous robots. Heh, if you look really close you can see some of my various class notes on some of these.

That's all for now! Like I said, I've got a stack. But it's late. I'm tired and sore, and I've got work again tomorrow(I need to find some better shoes).

Meuving~

Yar, today is the day. The big move from one side of town to the other. Woo! Its been a long time coming, and I can't say that I'm all teared up saying adios to my previous establishment. But anyhoo, the point is, there'll be a smoot of silence from me. But not for long(I hope).

On to better things!
