Life strikes again
Have a Vampy Cat! Warning: mild gore and twisted humor(I love it btw; if I could, I'd find my own Vampy Cat...)
Any hoo, long story short, work is incredibly short handed, what with quittings, meltdowns under high dollar days and a family crisis(not me, but another employee{my thoughts to you and your fam bud!}). So, I'm working practically from opening to closing. Huzzah its work but BLEH its work. You know? Not much time for art, but I'll sketch something I some point I know.
WOOF

Another dragon
Which brings me to a point brought glaringly to my attention lately: I split my attention to wayyy too many projects, leaving a wake of things left to rot. Point of this observation? I need to clear my head and find my bearings. I sat down and just put everything out of my mind for a while, and honestly? I found myself drawn back to my gods and the world where dragons and humans exist. It'd be a shame if I didn't share it with people. I'm leaving up GBG, but I don't think there'll be any new content for a while. I know, it gets old right? Bear with me; I'm still finding myself(all you other artists understand, I just know it!).
THIS, however, is an attempt to completely clean up a pencil sketch. Would you believe this started out all line messy and with col-erase all over? Well it did!
Mebbe I should name this guy at some point. Or figure out his element.

No fire in school!
AJ's been pouting that I never draw him anything cool. So, this is the beginning of his something cool. He's already bogarted the original(grabby little gus, I tells ya!).
What his facination is with high scool and pyroknesis is, your guess is as good as mine. Guess its pent up frustration for retarded classes? I'd wager its more along the lines of 'what's a public place I can be TOTALLY own in?!' Lovable little scamp! I threw in the uniforms for coolness. And that IS a mangled kanji symbol on his shirt. Might mean fire. Or person. Many apologies to those who write kanji. I try I try(desperately needs lessons)!
Soon to be colored.

Ghosts and goblins
Oh dur I forgot. GBG updated yesterday.
You know what? I'm having a bit of a style crisis as far as the comic is drawn. Check it:
So I've been using Flash for its smexy fine vector lines, but the big problem I've been encountering with it is lack of detail. It's really hard to add detail lines without the whole picture getting sloppy and confused. Now, I'm coming up to a VERY important section. It's basically a nightmare; based off one of the worst ones I ever had. I tell you, stress is a horrible thing. Wears on the mind and body like nothing else. The thing is, pencils have always been my forte, and I know exactly how I want to draw this. But resizing and cleaning have always been a chore. Not to mention that my boxes are always crooked(dern my bum eye!).
So the dilemma is, Flash or pencil/Photoshop? Just for this one set of pages or for the whole thing? Will the style change be a good thing or repulsive? Guah. I hate it when I think too much.

Big version

And I mean it! This un's about 1 meg. I believe the proper term is like 'high res'? But anyhoo. Wanted to share this. This was the picture I used for the below banner. Their expressions crack me up. Especially 7. He's not a completely dour chap, you know. Infact, I tried to make him smile here....which was inevitably complicated by the downward sloping mouth scars. Oh, how I love him! I also have a smaller version, used for advertising purposes on SJ. Which is an awesome site, by the by. I've found some really nice comics on it.
Pssst. That means they're over on the bar over there. Feel free to browse. I mean, if comics be your thing.
Afoot afoot! THINGS are afoot!

Speaking of update

Done for the site. Haw. Am quite pleased. And GBG looks MUUUUCH better. I borrowed some coding(and gave due credit!), but in the end, it looks neat, it looks clean, it looks BETTER. For now, this is gud. Who knows? Maybe this will turn around what a few people think of the site and I'll get more comments/some interested readers.
Side note:
The new site has raised attention to the fact that some of the pages are a little too big. I'm going to go back and fix that(thank god for vector art! no nightmare resizing). Later though! Later! For now, I'm off to bed.

Another Update!
Can you believe this page didnt take me long to finish? Well, it did but it didn't. See, this was a little difficult for me. There is supposed to be an abrupt storytelling change, since this part of the story isn't 'really' happening. It is to Dime. I swear it will make sense when it's all done. This is factually very important! Setting the mood for the next story, which will be 7 heavy.
Other than that, I'm also working on site sprucing. I have the whole design in my head/on paper. Nymmie's also been a diligent little bunny and has made sense of the wild and wooly CSS! So I've got a skeleton in notepad just waiting for the breath of life. The last puzzle piece is the large banner I want to throw at the top! I have to draw it. And I've decided to do pencils/PS for this one. Why? Oh, why not!
I thought it'd be interesting. Also I'm planning on finding non-toned colors for 7 and Dime. I'll be using these colors also for the char bio page I'll be doodling soon. 7 is easy. Think Boris Karloff. Black(or possibly dark green!) and pale 'I-dont-get-out-much' skin. DIME, on the other hand, is different. Not entirely sure what her colors are, besides her shirt being stop-sign red, and the ? is blue. Her clothes match because they don't match; she's loud and her color scheming looks like she fell into a closet and went 'I DRESSED MYSELF TODAY!!!'. She's fun like that. I want to say she has brown hair tho. Why? *shrug* Because in most of the stories I've read, them people with brown hair tend to be calm and collected, the voice of reason. Down to earth and ready to reel back in their slightly less rational counterparts. Think about it! Bet you can name like 12 grounding chars with brown hair, male or female.

The progression of Stuff and Junk
What's this? A Monday update?!
Yepper. Well, after careful thought and consideration, I have settled on 2 things:
1. I'm going to update a page at a time
2. Bi-weekly updates
I've come to this conclusion for a couple different reasons. Most of it having to do with this particular story arc. Each time it's updated, the front page gets changed to the LAST page I uploaded. Which causes a whole lot of unnecissary backscrolling. So one page only. But! I do not wish to force anyone to wait a whole week for a(basically) black and white page. So I'm doing it bi-weekly.
And also: the current page is mugly. I am in the throws of fixing this. CSS are confusing buuut I've found a site to help me out. And am in the processes of drawing together something that I like.
