A work in progress
This is for May's art contest on BunnyKingdom. Its a NINJA ALLIGATOR. Seriously, could there BE a cooler topic? Only if maybe it was a ninja alligator fighting a koalla pirate. Epic. So epic.
ANYWAY, he's going to be summoning something. Hence the scroll. BUT. I'm stumped as to what. Originally it was going to be a hippo but....there's just no way to draw those things cool. Also I reached an epiphany: Hippos freak the hell out of me. What decent animal has teeth JUTTING OUT OF THE MIDDLE OF THEIR JAW?! Evil water pigs. That's what they are. Arg, but he needs to be summoning something! There's always the good ole shinobi standbys: frogs, insects or dogs. Fish? Like maybe some koi? But what kind of lame summon is koi?? RAWR.
I need to think.

How I deal with stress
THIS monster is the product of trying to rewrap my brain around Algebra. I'm a special girl. Also pardon the bad scan; too lazy to get rid of the bloo lines right now.
Comparison
Still trying to nail Verdis. Asked for Khord's help. Which was a bad idea, per usual. SIGH. Still working on it.

Dragons dragons
Told you I have about a million head sheets rolling around. New character concept. The RP rolling around is super fun, but it seems to have shrunk down to four(mostly 3) players. And I can't help it. Revisiting Khord has made me want to continue to complete his story. There's been one major part I hadn't fleshed out yet.
This is Verdis, Khord's full dragon dad. He's a bit of a hard-ass. Not really the huggy feely family type. More like the throw you into a lake, if you drown that really sucks but hey that's natural selection type. I like mutton chops. I'll probably draw a full scale version of his dragon form. His half and half form I might skip a little, but his fully polymorphed form is important. After all, that'd be just about the only thing Khord would recognize. Verdis didn't stick around when he was born, but there are pictures.
Thinking about asking Skye if I can put him in the RP. Maybe as a teacher.....but I don't know if I want to make him a free play character or puppeteer him myself. Hmm....choices.

Public service announcement!
Little note here: The domain to this lil blog has been changed!
Probably noticable for those who have looked for this site and have not found anything. Ayup. Nothing special, really. I just didn't realize I was sharing names with another web group. Notably, Nerdblurb.com. Yeah. I know what you're saying. How'd you miss that? Honestly, I'm slow!
The nice thing is, they were as pleasant as can be. They even complimented my art! I went ahead and swapped the domain on my own just to avoid confusion. I realize some might have thought I've dropped off the face of the earth, hence this message. So! Any of you out there, I'm still here. And so's everything I've done so far. I've just moved to something slightly less confusing. Blogspot is just riding the slow pony express trying to keep up with me.
And that's the end of our public service announcement! We'll be back to normal shenanigans quicker than you can say 'Shenanigans at O'Flannigans'.

Fun with Sumo!

So yeh. For those of you who don't know, Sumo Paint is a really nice free design proggy. This was done with that. Ayup. What made me want to draw Khord getting a shot to the gut, I have no idea. Looks like it hurts, though, doesn't it?

Rhymes with 'fletched stump'
Gwar! So, I HAVE been a busy little bee. I just haven't been scanning lately. I suppose you could say I might have bitten off more responsibility than I can chew again, but really? It was just a mess of bad luck and tax season really. Moo. Nymine is not fond of bills. Also, I decided I wanted to go back to school. You can see how that might complicate things.
Anyhoo, this below is a sketch I did whilst meeting with my aforementioned creative group again:
No idea where the bat monster or the girl came from. But lookie who! It's Khord again(he recently got reinvented for an rp I'm participating in; I think Khord is one of those chars I'll never really abandon). Expect to see more of him.
This is a group shot for an idea I pitched for our creative group. Basically, it's my contribution into the story fare, something I want to have animated eventually. Not saying much about it at the moment since it's still very infant in age. However, I'mma HAFTA keep going this one, otherwise I'm sure my group would flog me. See kiddies? Peer pressure IS a good thing!!
Next couple of images are all from said story. This is basically an illustration of how I conceptualize characters. I literally have hundreds of sheets like the one above where I'm just trying to visualize what the character looks like. It all starts with heads for me. That's where all the personality lies, you know? Get yourself a decent head and it'll be sooo much easier to tack it on to a body(for me atleast; probably b/c to me eyes are the most important part of a char, or lack there of).

Next comes the many different attempts at body and clothes. This is actually a completely different character from the first sheet, as that char hasn't reached this stage yet, and I lost most of the bunny's head pages('lost' is a loose term open to interpretation meaning 'tore up and pitched in artistic grr mode').
